CTQA Dashboard

CTQA Welcome Page:

Welcome to the Dashboard for UQ’s Curriculum and Teaching Quality Appraisal (CTQA)

The CTQA is an annual process that involves an evidence-based consideration of the overall quality of a school’s teaching programs. It is a key component of UQ’s Quality Assurance processes and is conducted by the School Teaching & Learning Committee, overseen by Associate Deans (Academic), through the Faculty Teaching and Learning Committee.

The current CTQA dashboard reports were updated on 18 February 2015. In addition to the inclusion of more current data, some content changes have been made in response to user feedback.

This dashboard provides a range of teaching and learning indicators for the annual CTQA, which is a three-stage process:

  • Schools undertake short and focused reviews of readily available data on student demand, retention, success, satisfaction (among both current students and graduates), and graduate destinations across the school’s teaching programs/majors, using the CTQA template. The template can be downloaded here, or by clicking on the ‘Download Template’ option on the dashboard’s ribbon menu. Detailed information on the indicators displayed on each of the screens can be accessed using the ‘Help’ button, and there are a number of links within the dashboard to underlying data collections held within the University.
  • Based on this review, schools identify the strengths of their teaching programs, areas for improvement, and the proposed strategies and timeline/budget to address the latter areas. The CTQA also requires schools to provide a progress report on the previous year’s teaching quality initiatives, and to report on the progress of any recently introduced programs and fields of study.
  • The completed templates are submitted to the Faculty’s Associate Dean (Academic).

The CTQA should be completed by the end of February each year. This timeframe ensures that the process can inform faculty-level operational planning processes. Please enter the CTQA Dashboard by selecting the relevant faculty below.
